Pastor Joan G. Hernández Vázquez
Joan G. Hernández Vázquez has the honor of serving as Pastor of Pathway Restoration Ministry. Her journey of faith began early in life, growing up in a loving family that valued compassion, integrity, and service. Inspired by these principles, she felt a deep calling to dedicate her life to God and to the spiritual growth of the community.
Pastor Joan had a personal encounter with God at the age of 13, and since that moment she has remained committed to walking in His ways, even through life’s challenges and seasons of growth. She began serving in youth leadership at her local church and later held leadership positions at the district level. Serving others, studying the Word of God, and seeking the presence of the Lord in personal intimacy have been lifelong passions.
She studied Ministerial Arts at Mizpa Pentecostal University and has completed ministerial training in leadership and Christian counseling. Her theological education has shaped a ministry journey that has been both challenging and deeply rewarding. At the age of 30 she was ordained into pastoral ministry, initially serving as a youth pastor and later as a senior pastor. Through this calling, she has had the privilege of ministering to different congregations and fostering a sense of belonging and purpose among believers.
More recently, she was ordained as a Reverend and also serves as a Chaplain. In addition to her ministry preparation, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities with a major concentration in Social Work and a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work. She currently holds her Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) credential from the State of Connecticut.
At Pathway Restoration Ministry, Pastor Joan is committed to spreading the teachings of Christ through outreach, fellowship, and acts of kindness. She firmly believes that faith is not only a personal journey but also a community experience that flourishes through love, support, and God’s grace.
God has been a constant and transforming presence in her life. Through both challenges and joys, she has learned that a relationship with God is essential for finding purpose and hope. She strongly believes in the redeeming power of Jesus Christ and in the Holy Spirit as our comforter and daily guide.
Outside of the pulpit, Pastor Joan enjoys spending time with her family, watching television, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
She is deeply committed to fostering a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and loved. Pastora Joan G. Hernández Vázquez
Joan G. Hernández Vázquez tiene el honor de servir como Pastora de Pathway Restoration Ministry. Su camino de fe comenzó desde temprana edad, cuando crecía en una familia amorosa que valoraba profundamente la compasión, la integridad y el servicio. Inspirada por estos principios, sintió un llamado profundo a dedicar su vida a Dios y al crecimiento espiritual de la comunidad.
La Pastora Joan tuvo un encuentro con Dios a los 13 años, y desde ese momento se ha mantenido firme en Sus caminos, aun en medio de los desafíos y diferentes etapas de la vida. Comenzó sirviendo en el liderazgo de jóvenes en su iglesia local y posteriormente ocupó posiciones de liderazgo a nivel distrital. Servir a los demás, estudiar la Palabra de Dios y buscar la presencia del Señor en la intimidad han sido siempre parte fundamental de su vida.
Estudió Artes Ministeriales en la Universidad Pentecostal Mizpa y ha completado cursos ministeriales en liderazgo y consejería cristiana. Su formación teológica ha marcado un camino ministerial desafiante pero profundamente gratificante. Fue ungida al pastorado a los 30 años, comenzando a pastorear a los jóvenes y posteriormente sirviendo como pastora general. A lo largo de su ministerio ha tenido el privilegio de ministrar a diversas congregaciones, fomentando un sentido de pertenencia y propósito entre los creyentes.
Recientemente también fue ungida como Reverenda y sirve como Capellán. Además de su preparación ministerial, posee un Bachillerato en Humanidades con concentración mayor en Trabajo Social y una Maestría en Trabajo Social Clínico. Actualmente cuenta con su licencia LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) del estado de Connecticut.
En Pathway Restoration Ministry, su misión es difundir las enseñanzas de Cristo a través del alcance comunitario, el compañerismo y los actos de bondad. Cree firmemente que la fe no es solamente un camino personal, sino también una experiencia comunitaria que florece en el amor, el apoyo y la gracia de Dios.
Dios ha sido una presencia constante y transformadora en su vida. A través de los desafíos y las alegrías ha aprendido que nuestra relación con Dios es fundamental para encontrar propósito y esperanza. Cree firmemente en el poder redentor de Jesucristo y en el Espíritu Santo como nuestro Consolador y guía diario.
Fuera del púlpito, disfruta pasar tiempo con su familia, ver televisión, viajar y salir a comer.
Su compromiso es fomentar un ambiente donde todos se sientan bienvenidos y valorados.
